Work is a product of force F and displacement S in the direction of force. thus

work done= Force × displacement

or W =F

some time force and displacement do not have the same direction here the force F making angle theta

Resolving F into its perpendicular components F(x) and F(y )as

F(x) =Fcos theta

F(y)=F sin theta

WORK= is done when a force acting on a body dis places it in direction of force
