Solution
=======

x = \frac{1}{2 + \sqrt{3} } \\ \\ < = = = = = = = = = = = = > \\ \\ rationalising : \\ \\ \: = > \frac{1}{2 + \sqrt{3} } \times \frac{2 - \sqrt{3} }{2 - \sqrt{3} } \\ \\ = > \frac{2 - \sqrt{3} }{4 - 3} = 2 - \sqrt{3} \\ \\

→on putting this value in eq we have:

2 {x}^{3} - 7 {x}^{2} - 2x + 1

=>2(8-3√3-12√3+18)-7(4+3-4√3)-4+2√3+1

=>2(26-15√3)-7(7-4√3)-3+2√3

=>52-30√3-49+28√3-3+2√3

=>0

hope it helps
