If x=-1/2 is a solution of the quadratic equation 3x square +2kx-3=0,find the value of k.

HELLO DEAR,

given that:-

X= -1/2

put this value in the Equation,

3X² + 2kX -3 =0

3( {  - \frac{  1}{2} })^{2}  + 2k  (- \frac{ 1}{2} ) - 3 = 0 \\   =  > 3 \times  \frac{1}{4}  -   2k \times  \frac{1}{2}  - 3 = 0 \\  =  >  \frac{3}{4 }  - k - 3 = 0 \\  =  > 3 - 4k - 12 = 0 \\  =  > 4k =  - 9 \\   =  > k =   - \frac{9}{4}
