If x+1, 3x , and 4x+2 are in A.P.,find the value of x.

if the terms are in a.p

then,

2t2=t1+t3

2*3x=x+1+4x+2

6x=5x+3

x=3(answer)

3x-(x+1) = 4x+2 - 3x
