P(-1) = -1 +3 -3a(-1) +b

= 2+3a +b

3a+b = -2

P(-2) = -8 +12 -3a(-2) +b

4+6a+b

6a+b=-4

do the sub. method

3a= -2

a= -2/3

sub. in first equation

3(-2/3) + b = -2

-2+b = -2

b= 0

the values are a = -2/3 and b= 0
