By substituting the given values
☞ 2a(1) + 3(3) = 11
☞ 2a + 9 = 11
☞ 2a = 11 - 9
☞ 2a = 2
☞ a = 2/2
☞ a = 1
Hence , a = 1

By substituting the value of a , x & y . If LHS = RHS , the value of a is correct .
