x=-1
put x as -1 in given equation,
= -2+a-2b+1 = 0 ( by factor theorem )
a-2b-1 = 0
a = 2b+1 ( equation 1 )
2a - 3b = 4 ( given )
2a = 4 + 3b ( equation 2 )
from these 2 equations,
4b+2 = 4 + 3b
b = 2
a = 2×2 + 1 = 5
So, values of a and b are 5 and 2 respectively.
