Answer:

(x-1)=0

x=1

x⁶-ax⁵+x⁴-ax²+3x-a+2 = 0

1⁶ - a1⁵ + 1⁴ - a1² + 3×1 - a +2 =0

1-a+1-a+3-a+2 =0

7-3a=0

3a = 7

a = 7/3

Step-by-step explanation:

if x-1 is factor of the given eq so it will be

x-1=0

x= 1

put x=1 in the whole eq

(1)^6-a(1)^5+(1⁴)-a(1²)+3(1)-a+2=0

1-a+1-a+3-a+2=0

taking a one side

-a-a-a+1+1+3+2=0

-3a=-7

a=7/3
