Answer:

p(x)=x2 + 3x + k

(x+1) is factor of the polynomial x2 + 3x + k

(x-1)=0

x = 1

p(1)=(1)2 + 3(1) + k = 0

= 1+3+ k = 0

=. k = -4

hope it helps you

✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰

⇢\textbf{x+1=0}

Now,Putting x as 1..

⇢{x}^{2}+3x+k=0

⇢{(1)}^{2}+3(1)+k=0

⇢1+3+k=0

⇢4+k=0

⇢k=0-4

\large{\boxed{\bold{\bold{\red{\sf{k=-4}}}}}}

So,Option (c) i.e -4 is Correct..
