The value of a is equal to 0

Given: x = (1 - a), y = (2a+1) and x=y

To find: The value of a

Solution:

We have, x = 1 - a and y = 2a + 1

Also, we know x = y

⇒ 1 - a = 2a + 1

  2a + a = 1 - 1

         3a = 0

           a = 0/3

  ∴ a = 0

Therefore, tha value of a is zero
