(x-1/x)^2=x^2+1/x^2-2
(3)^2=x^2+1/x^2-2
9+2=x^2+1/x^2
(x^2+1/x^2)=11......................eq1
again squre of (x^2+1/x^2)
(x^2+1/x^2)^2=x^4+1/x^4+2
from eq1...............
(11)^2=x^4+1/x^4+2x
121-2=x^4+1/x^4
(x^4+1/x^4)=119 it is answer of this question.........
