if (x+2)²-9=16, then find the value of x.​

Answer :-

(x + 2)² - 9 = 16

=> (x + 2)² = 16 + 9

=> x² + 4 + 4x = 25

=> x² + 4x - 21 = 0

=> x² + 7x - 3x - 21 = 0

=> x(x + 7) - 3(x + 7) = 0

=> (x -3)(x +7) = 0

So,

x - 3 = 0. or. x+ 7 = 0

x = 3. or. x = -7
