D = A2 - A1  and A3 - A2

2x - (x+2) = 2x+3 - 2x

x - 2 = 3

x = 5

In an AP, the middle term is the average of succeeding and preceeding term.

Therefore (x+2)+(2x+3)/2 =2x

3x+5/2=2x

3x+5=4x

x=5.
