when x= 2+√3

therefore substituting in x-1/x

(2+√3) - 1/(2-√3)

(2+√3)(2-√3)-1/(2-√3)

2²+√3²-1/(2-√3)

4-3-1/2-√3

0/2-√3

x = 2+  \sqrt{3}  \\  \\  \frac{1}{x} =   \frac{1}{2 +  \sqrt{3} }  \\  \\  \frac{1}{x}  =  \frac{1}{2 +  \sqrt{3} }  \times  \frac{2  -   \sqrt{3} }{2  -  \sqrt{3} }  \\  \\   \frac{1}{x}  =  \frac{2 -   \sqrt{3}  }{4 - 3}  \\  \\  \frac{1}{x}  = 2 -  \sqrt{3}

x - 1/x = (2 + root3) - ( 2- root 3)

x - 1/x = 2 + root3 - 2 + root3

x  -   \frac{1}{x}  = 2 \sqrt{3}
