then value of

x²-4x+2 = ?

putting 2+√3 at the place of x

(2 + √3)² - 4 (2 + √3) + 2

=[(4 + 3)+2(2×√3)-4(2+√3)+2

=7+ 4√3 - 8 - 4√3 + 2

=7-8+2
