(x+2,4) = (6,y - 2)

equate both x value and both y value

x+2=6

x=4

4=y-2

y=6

hope this answer will help you

Answer:

The value of x is 4 and the value of y is 6.

Step-by-step explanation:

For (x_{1} , y_{1})  = (x_{2} , y_{2}), we can equate the x coordinate and y coordinate separately.

Equating the x coordinates for  (x+2,4) = (6,y - 2), we have;

x + 2 = 6

⇒ x = 6 - 2

x = 4

Again, Equating the y coordinates for  (x+2,4) = (6,y - 2), we have;

4 = y-2

⇒ y = 4 + 2

y = 6.

So, the value of x is 4 and the value of y is 6.
