Given

We have given x = -2

and function p(x)= -2x⁴-7x³-3x²+x-10

To find

We have to find p(x) at x= -2

\sf\huge {\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

How to solve?

Step 1: Substitute the value of x into the function

Step 2:Solve and evaluate the Equation.

=> -2(-2)⁴-7(-2)³-3(-2)²+(-2)-10

Note : Any negative value having even power then the resultant would be a positive value and if positive value having negative power then the resultant would be a reciprocal with positive value.

=> -2(-2*-2*-2*-2) -7(-2*-2*-2)-3(-2*-2)-2-10

  • plus minus = minus
  • minus minus = plus ( but sign of - )

=> -2(16)-7(-8)-3(4)-2-10

=> -32+56-12-12

=> 56-32-24

=>24-24

=0

Hence, value of p(x)= -2x⁴-7x³-3x²+x-10 at x= -2 is 0
