Answer:

X-2) is a factor of the given polynomial.

(X-2) = 0

X = 2

P(X) => X²+KX+2K

P(2) => (2)² + K × 2 + 2K

=> 4 + 2K +2K => 0

=> 4K = -4

=> K = -4/4 => -1

Answer:

if X+2 is the factor of p(X) X2 -kx +5

X+2=0

X=-2 put in the equation

(-2)2-k(-2)+5=0

4+2k+5=0

2k+9=0

k=-9/2
