Hii friend,

(X-2) is a factor of the given polynomial.

(X-2) = 0

X = 2

P(X) => X²-AX+6

P(2) = (2)² - A × 2 + 6

=> 4 -2A +6 = 0

=> -2A = -10

=> A= -10/-2 => 5

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU.... :-)

X=2
X^2-ax+6
2^2-2a+6
4-2a+6
10-2a= 0
-2a =-10
a=-10/-2
a=5.
