Answer:

x - 2 is a factor

So x = 2 is a zero of the polynomial

Substituting,

= (2)³ - 9(2)² + 2(2) + m = 0

8 - 36 + 4 + m = 0

12 - 36 + m = 0

m - 24 = 0

m = 24

Value of m is 24

Answer:

If X - 2 is a factor of the polynomial, then after putting the value of X into the eqn. you'll get the sum as 0.

Therefore, Put X=2

(2)^3-9(2)^2+2(2)+m = 0

(8)-9(4)+4+m = 0

8-36+4+m=0

m-24=0

m=24
