Hey

Here is your answer,

Given ,

X = 2a + 1

Y = a - 1

Substitute the values of x and y in the given equation,

2x - 3y + 5 = 0

2 (2a+1) - 3 (a-1) + 5 = 0

4a + 2 - 3a + 3 + 5 = 0

a + 10 = 0

a = -10

Hope it helps you!
