1/x²= 1/17+12√2

on rationalizing

17-12√2/289-288

= 17-12√2

x³ will be 27+ 16√2 +18√2(3+2√2)

27+16√2+54√2+72

99+70√2

x²+1/x²

=17+12√2 + 17-12√2

x³+1/x²

99+70√2 + 17 -12√2

116+58√2

58√2(√2+1)

which is equal to 197.97(when √2 is taken as 1.414)
