x² = (3 - 2√2)²

    = 9 + 8 - 12√2 

     = 17 - 12√2

                  by Rationalization

 1/x = (3 + 2√2) ÷ [ 3² - (2√2)²  ]

       = (3 + 2√2) ÷  (  9 - 8)

      =(3 + 2√2) ÷ 1

       = 3 + 2√2

1/x² = (3 + 2√2)²

        = 9 + 8 + 12√2 

        = 17 + 12√2
