If x=3 is one of the quadratic equation x²-2k-6=0 then find the value of k

put the value of x in the given eqn. .....

3 sq. - 2 k - 6= 0
9 -2k -6 = 0
-2k = -3
k = 3/2 ... it's ur answer

x²-2k-6. (x=3)
(3)²- 2k -6 =0
9-2k-6 =0
3-2k =0

-2k = -3
k = 3/2
