x+3y=6......(1)
2x-y=3.....(2)
by elimination method
multiply equation (1)by2 and equation(2)by1
2(x+3y=6) =2x+6y=12(3)
1(2x-y=3) = 2x-y =3(4)
now subtract equation (3) by (4)
2x+6y=12
2x - y=3
(-) (+) (-)
0+7y=9
y=9/7
now put this value in equation (2)
2x-y=3
2x-9/7 = 3
2x = 3+9/7
2x= 21+9/7
x= 30/7×2
x=30/14
x=15/7
now A.T.Q
x/y = ?
= 15/7/9/7
= 15/9
answer = 15/9
