x²-2ax+a²=a²⁻1
x²-2ax+1=0
x=[-b±√(b²-4ac)]÷2

b=(-2a)

now
x=[2a±√(4a²-4)]÷2
x=[a±√(a²-1)]
x²-2ax+a²=a²⁻1
x²-2ax+1=0
