p(x)= 2x^2+2ax+5x+10
By Factor Theorem
If (x+a) is a factor of p(x) then, p(-1)= 0
Substituting the value of x gives us
2*(-1)^2+2*a*(-1)+5*(-1)+10= 0
2+(-2a)+(-5)+10= 0
7+(-2a)= 0
-2a= 0-7
2a= 7
a= 7/2 or 3.5
