x+y=4

a+b=4 equation 2

by equation I and 2

x-y=2

x+y=4

2x=6

x=6/2

x=3

So, a = 3

putting a=3 in equation 1

x-y=2

3-y=2

y= 2+3

y=5

so, b=5
