Answer: beta = Cotθ

Explanation:

x = a Cosθ & y = b Sinθ

For dy/dx first you have to calculate dy/dθ & dx/dθ

dy/dθ = b Cosθ & dx/dθ = - a Sinθ

So, dy/dx = (b Cosθ)/(- a Sinθ)

dy/dx = (-b/a)(Cotθ) _______''

And in question it's dy/dx = (-b/a)beta

So, on comparing we get Beta = Cotθ
