if we squaring (x+2y) then we find
x^2+4y^2+4xy
now a/c x^2+4y^2=17 and xy=17 is given
so, (x+2y)^2=17+4(17)
x+2y=+_root 85
x^2+4y^2+4xy
now a/c x^2+4y^2=17 and xy=17 is given
so, (x+2y)^2=17+4(17)
x+2y=+_root 85
