If x is equal to 1 minus root 2 then find the value of x minus one by x whole square

x = 1 - √2

So,

x - 1 = -√2

We have to find value of

[(x - 1) / x]^2

So, just substituting,

= [-√2/(1-√2)]^2

= [2/(1+2-2√2) ]

= [2/(3-2√2) ] is the answer.

If you rationalise then the answer will be,

= 6 + 4√2 ----> final answer.
