Given, x= 3+ √8

Squaring both sides

x^2 = (3+√8)^2

By applying (a+b)^2 identity on RHS,

x^2=17+6√8

Putting value of x^2 in the req. equation,

x^+1/x^2

=18+6√8/17+6√8
