in here
x= 4-√15
x+1/x = 4-√15 + 1/4-√15
now rationalize the denominator of the 2nd term that is 1/4-√15
1/4-√15×4+√15/4+√15 (a²-b²)
we get 4+√15
x+1/x= 4-√15+4+√15
=8

hope it helps

Heya

x = (4 -  \sqrt{15} )

 =  >  \frac{1}{x}  =  \frac{1}{(4 -  \sqrt{15}) }  =  \frac{(4 +  \sqrt{15} ) }{ {4}^{2}  -  { \sqrt{15} }^{2} }

 =  >  \frac{1}{x}  = (4 +  \sqrt{15} )

 =  > (x +  \frac{1}{x} ) = 8

Hope this helps ^_^
