if x is equal to a and Y is equal to b is the solution of the pair of equation x minus Y is equal to 2 and X + Y equal to 4 find the value of a and b

Here it is given that x is 'a' and y is 'b'
N it is also given that x-y = 2 and
x+y =4. Now we need to substitute the value of x and y
It will be
a-b = 2
a+b = 4
Now using elimination method do it so that u will get value of a as 3 and
b = 1
