Why was triangular slave trade practiced?
The Europeans were reluctant to go to their overseas colonies and work there.
And this met in a shortage of labour in the colonies.
So, the French merchants travelled all the way to the African coast by boats/ships. And is is the local chieftains in Africa who sold the slaves.
They were brought, branded and shackled, and we're packed into the ships.
From here they were sent on a long voyage to the overseas territories where the owners of these plantations brought these slaves from the European merchants and the European merchants travel back to to Europe.
This is the reason and the way the triangular slave trade was carried out.
