by using factor theorem put x-3 =0

so x = 3

now put the value of x in eq. 2x square + x + k

= 2× 3×3 +3 +k

=18+ 3+k

=21+k

now 21+k = 0 ( put eq = 0 if x-3 is factor oc that eq.)

k = -21

hope it helps u..
