If x = root 2 - 1; then,

 \frac{ {x}^{2} + 1 }{ {x}^{2} }  \\  =  \frac{( \sqrt{2}  - 1)^{2} + 1 }{ {( \sqrt{2}  - 1)}^{2} }  \\  =  \frac{2 - 2 \sqrt{2} + 1 + 1 }{2 - 2 \sqrt{2}  + 1}  \\  =  \frac{4 - 2 \sqrt{2} }{3 - 2 \sqrt{ 2} }  \\  = 12 + 8 \sqrt{2}  - 3 \sqrt{2}   - 8 \\  = 4 + 5 \sqrt{2}

HOPE THIS COULD HELP!!!
