Given x = secA + tanA
Now,
x+1/x = secA+tanA + 1/ secA + tanA
= secA+tanA + (sec^2A-tan^2A)/secA+tanA
= secA+tanA + (secA+tanA)(secA-tanA)/ secA+tanA
= secA+tanA+secA-tanA
= 2secA
Now,
x+1/x = secA+tanA + 1/ secA + tanA
= secA+tanA + (sec^2A-tan^2A)/secA+tanA
= secA+tanA + (secA+tanA)(secA-tanA)/ secA+tanA
= secA+tanA+secA-tanA
= 2secA
