we have,

= 14+2 {x^2+1/x^2=14}

= x+1/x = √16

=4.............(i)

NOW,

=(x+1/x)^3=x^3+1/x^3+3(x)(1/x){x+1/x}=0

= x^3+1/x^3+3[4]=0

=x^3+1/x^3=-12
