Step-by-step explanation:

x²-4x+4=0

= x²-2x-2x+4

= x(x-2)-2(x-2)

= (x-2)(x-2)

x=2

x²+3x+P=0

P=-3×2-(2²)

P=-6-4

P= -10

Answer:

x² - 4x + 4 = 0 , x² + 3x + p = 0

first of all find the roots of the quadratic equation x² - 4x + 4 = 0

x² - 4x + 4 = 0

x² - 4x+ 4 = 0

x² - 2x - 2x + 4 = 0

x (x - 2) -2 ( x - 2) = 0

(x - 2) ( x - 2) = 0 , x = 2

here the roots of both quadratic equations are equal ,therefore put the value of x in x² + 3x + p = 0

(2)² + 3(2) + p = 0

4 + 6 + p = 0 , 10 + p = 0 , p = -10

Hence the value of p is -10
