xy = 25/4

(13-y)y = 25/4

13y-y^2=  25/4

y^2-13y+25/4=0

4y^2-52y+25=0

4y^2-2y-50y+25=0

2y(2y-1)-2(2y-1)=0

(2y-1)(2y-2)=0

y=1/2   &  y= 1

now putting values in equation (1)

x = 13-1/2                   x=13-1

 =  26-1/2                   = 12

  = 25/2

now, x-y

25/2-1/2                    12-1

25-1/2                         11

24/2
