We know that,

x {}^{2} + y {}^{2} =   (x + y) {}^{2}   - 2xy \\

Substituting the values,

x {}^{2}  + y {}^{2}  = (13) {}^{2} - 2(7)  \\  =  > 169 - 14  \\  =  > 155.
