Hey!

Given :- x : y = 2 : 3
and y : 3 = 4 : 7

• y : 3 = 4 : 7

 \frac{y}{3} = \frac{4}{7}

y = \frac{12}{7}

• x : y = 2 : 3

 \frac{x}{y} = \frac{2}{3}

 \frac{x}{ \frac{12}{7} } = \frac{2}{3}

 \frac{7x}{12} = \frac{2}{3}

x = \frac{8}{7}

Now ,

x : y : 3 = ?

( 8/7 ) : ( 12/7 ) : 3

 \frac{ \frac{8}{7} }{ \frac{ \frac{12}{7} }{3} } = \frac{8}{7} \times \frac{7}{12} \times \frac{1}{3} \\ \\ = \frac{2}{9}

So, x : y : 3 = 2/9
