if x-y= 3 and xy=28, find x+y using appropriate identities​

Answer:

(x-y)²=x²+y²-2xy

(3)²=x²+y²-2(28)

9=x²+y²-56

56+9=x²+y²

65=x²+y²

(x+y)²=x²+y²+2xy

(x+y)²=65+2×28

(x+y)²=65+56

x+y=root 121

x+y=11
