question:-

If x+y=5 then what is the value of x^2/y^2

answer:-

x+y=5

x=5-y

put this value in the equation

 \frac{ {x}^{2} }{ {y}^{2} }

 \frac{ {(5 - y)}^{2} }{ {y}^{2} }

 \frac{25 - 10y +  {y}^{2} }{ {y}^{2} }

25 - 10y +  {y}^{2}

 {y }^{2}  - 10y + 25

using quadratic formula now

value of y = 10

fill the value of y in x+y=5

x + 10 = 5

x = 5 - 10

x =  - 5

the Value of x is -5

the Value of x is -5ans value of y is 10

hope it will help you
