(x-y) ²= x²+y²-2xy

(4)² = x² + y² -2xy

add

36 = x² +y²+2xy

16=x²+y²-2xy

52 =2(x²+y²)

26 = x²+y²

(x-y) ² =x²+y²-2xy

16 = x²+y²-2xy

2xy =26-16

xy =10/2

xy =5
