x-y=9
xy=2

(x-y)³ = x³ - y³ - 3xy (x-y)
⇒ 9³ = (x³ - y³) - 3×2(9)
⇒ 729 = (x³ - y³) - 54
⇒ 729+54 = x³ - y³
⇒x³ - y³ = 783

x -y = 9     and x y =2    using the equn (x -y )*3 =x*3 -y*3 -3xy(x-y)                            substituting the values                                                                                                   (x-y)*3 =x*3-y*3-3 x2(9)                        9x9x9 =x*3-y*3-54    ie729+54=x*3-y*3        or x*3-y*3 =783
