Given:

 x and y are directly proportional .

 Also \bf x_1=5,y_1=210,x_2=2

To Find :

The value of \bf y_2?

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Since x and y are directly proportional then \bf\frac{x}{y}=k , where k is any constant .
  • Similarly we can write \bf\frac{x_1}{y_1}=\frac{x_2}{y_2}=k

NOW

We have

               \bf\frac{x_1}{y_1}=\frac{x_2}{y_2}

  •  By putting the given values in above equation we get

               \bf\Rightarrow\frac{5}{210}=\frac{2}{y_2}

  •  Apply cross multiplying

              \bf\Rightarrow\ y_2=\frac{2\times210}{5}

  • Cancelling the above equation

               \bf  y_2 =84

Hence , the value of \bf y_2 is 84.
