If x/y is the additive inverse of c/d, then x/y + c/d = 0. True or False? Why?

false..for exmple let x/y equals 1/2 nd c/d equals 2/1 then the addition becomes 5/2 hence false

True , Let x/y = 3/2 then c/d = -3/2 
         Now , x/y +c/d = 0 
                  3/2 + (-3/2) = 0
                  3/2 -3/2 =0 
                   0=0
Therefore , L.H.S = R.H.S .
