2² = 4 = 2+2 (2 times)

3² = 9 = 3+3+3 (3 times)

4² = 16 = 4+4+4+4 (4times)

5² = 25 = 5+5+5+5+5 (5 times)

Similarly,

x² = x+x+x+x+x.......+x (x times)

x² = x¹ times

Now, take derivatives (change powers to co-efficients)

2x = 1x times

2x = x

2 = x/x

2 = 1

1 = 2

Hence proved!!
